Over the centuries poets and writers have attempted to capture the beauty and majesty of Lake Como in their works, yet none have ever quite seemed to do it justice. Until you have stood and marvelled at the reflection on the water of the snow-capped peaks from one in a million magnificent viewpoints, Lake Como is just a dream away.

Lake Como was first discovered over 2,000 years ago by the Romans and still remains a favoured retreat for Italians and the rest of the visiting world.

Blessed with a whole array of beautiful landscapes and awesome vistas, the lake is 28 miles long (45km) and never more than 2 miles (3km) wide.

Nestled alongside the lake sit hundreds of villages offering a unique slice of Italy, full of tradition, history and stunning architecture.

Visiting Lake Como is seeking out your very own corner of paradise lost . . . .
